DISCIPLESHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Men's Ministry Group
The Men's Ministry Group is a ministry for men of all ages at Christ Church.   It is small group fellowship and study.   We meet every Thursday morning from 7am until 8am.   We welcome all men at all times.

Daughters of the King
This is an order for all Episcopal women. There are also DOK Chapters in the Roman Catholic and Lutheran Churches.  The purpose of the National Order is to promote renewal and spiritual growth among women and girls.  Christ Church Chapter of DOK is committed to prayer, study and service; to gain personal spiritual growth through the study of God's word.  They visit the sick, host memorial receptions for those who would not otherwise have a place to greet friends, conduct Quiet Days for the benefit of spiritual growth of others, and serve in other areas at the request of the Rector.  The St. Mary and St. Martha's Chapter -- meets weekly on Wednesday mornings at 11:00 a.m. A second group of "Working Girls" Daughters meets on Tuesday mornings at 7:00 a.m.

Episcopal Church Women
The Churchwomen of Christ Episcopal Church join in a fellowship for the purpose of deepening their spiritual life and to foster active participation in the whole church program.  For convenience, there are several chapters which meet monthly at different times of the day.  The Chi Rho News lists times of meetings.  All adult churchwomen in Christ Church are members of the E.C.W., and are cordially invited to become active in a chapter of their choice.

St. Anne's Chapter -- St. Anne's Chapter is one of the Episcopal Church Women's organizations here at Christ Church. It meets once a month from October through May on the second Wednesday of the month in the Church Parlor at 10:45 a.m. We generally have a speaker, then a short business meeting. The topics are of various interests, which encourage growth in Christian living, service to the community and our parish. In the spring of each year, a fund raiser is usually held. Our membership includes a wide range of ages. Mother's Morning Out in the Nursery is at the same time as our meetings to allow women with young children to attend. We welcome all women of Christ Church. Visitors and guests are always welcome.

Brotherhood of St. Andrew
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is a ministry to men of all ages in the Episcopal Church and Anglican Communion. It was established in 1883 for the spread of Christ's Kingdom among men through the disciplines of prayer, study and service.  A corporate communion is held on the first Saturday of each month at 7:30 a.m. in the Chapel, followed by a breakfast meeting.  These meetings are open to all men of the parish.

Altar Guild
The Altar Guild's main objective is to prepare for the worship services of the Church as directed by the Clergy. This does not end with preparation of altars for Holy Communion, but includes the care of linens, vestments, polishing all brass, etc. Membership is divided into groups to work on a one week a month basis. Altar Guild work itself can be considered as an oblation, a loving labor offered to God, not merely a chore that someone must accomplish. Those interested in serving on the Altar Guild should contact the Rector.

Ushers
The ushers of Christ Church are a dedicated group of men, women and young people who assist the priests in achieving an orderly, reverential ceremony.  They assist the congregation in such a manner as will save time and avoid confusion.  They assist at all regular Sunday services and such weekly and special services as requested by the Rector.  Anyone interested in becoming an usher can contact the church office.  New members are always welcome.
