THE WAYS WE WORSHIP
Our worship styles are distinctive for each of our services. Our weekday services are held in our historic chapel using Rite I traditional language and an east facing altar. On Sundays we offer three different styles of worship in our Nave. All of our services are dignified and beautiful to both the eyes and the ears, but they are also warm and inviting.
If you are unfamiliar with Episcopal services, they are liturgical (meaning we have a written service that we follow), they are scriptural (Bible readings are included in all services), and they are participatory (the congregation reads and responds throughout the service). The Book of Common Prayer, 1979 is the basis of all of our worship even in our Contemporary Service. A recent Newsweek article on religion in America noted that a growing number of people are following the book's Morning Prayer liturgy, because they're drawn to the beauty of the language.
